Last week’s Balance Sheet was our best newsletter yet.  Too bad everyone thought it was a “TEST.”  No worries, you can see it in the archive any time.

DCADC Doubles its Staff!

The Dubois County Area Development Corporation has effectively doubled its full-time staff, bringing the tally from one person to two.  Michael Cummings joined the staff in August as Project Manager, looking to help however needed.

Mike grew up in Birdseye, graduating from Forest Park in 2003.  From there he attended Millikin University, where he took degrees in Literature and Professional Writing in May 2007.  With this background, he is well-positioned to add value to the public relations, marketing, and correspondence efforts of the DCADC, not to mention assisting in the development of new projects and initiatives.

Since coming on, Mike has offered important perspective on the issue of “brain-gain,” which is an effort to attract/retain our talented young people.  He has also helped revive the DCADC newsletter and has become involved with the Enterprise Loan Fund, among other things.

Mike is throwing his hat into the regional ring this spring by participating in Connect with Southern Indiana, a program through the University of Southern Indiana Extended Services that works to build regional partnerships and awareness.

If you have any questions for Mike, you can reach him at the DCADC office at (812)482-9650 or via email at mjcummings@DCADC.org.

Happy Holidays!

President’s Perspective

It has been great having Mike on board.  He has been a quick study on many fronts.  With twice the staff…we hope to raise the bar and exceed expectations.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
